DJ and songwriter Sofie released her debut solo album Cult Survivor last summer, which is full of lo-fi synth sounds and 60s sensibility. She's just dropped a remix of the last track on the album, 'Happen 2 B There (Lauer Dance Mix)'. The remixer, Philip Lauer, is a German-based producer who has an inclination towards deep house. The remix opens with a pumping kick drum and pulsating arpeggiated synths, creating a deep and dancey feel. Percussive elements echo the dawn of house music; garish and bright.
